Finding accommodation in the Algarve during the hot season without breaking the budget continues to be a challenge for many Portuguese families. Still, there are tourist units that try to combine more affordable prices with services normally associated with higher category hotels, especially in areas close to the Ria Formosa.
According to the website, the resort located in Cabanas de Tavira offers full-board stays and free boat access to the beach of the same name.
Just a few minutes from the sand
Golden Club Cabanas is located next to the Ria Formosa and has a direct connection to Cabanas de Tavira Poente beach. Transportation is via an exclusive boat available all year round.
After crossing, guests will find an extensive beach separated from the hotel by the estuary. According to the development’s website, the area is known for its calm waters and proximity to the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
How much does it cost to stay
Prices vary according to the season and the chosen regime. On the night of May 17th to 18th, for example, a stay for two people in a T1 Plus Sunset apartment costs 87.40 euros for accommodation only.
The option with full board rises to R$ 138.60, for two people. After all, this corresponds to a value of 69.30 euros per guest.
Pools for different profiles
The resort has several water areas distributed throughout the complex. There is a 50-meter outdoor pool facing the estuary, as well as another area reserved for adults only. During the cooler months, guests can also use the heated indoor pool, available between October and May. The space also includes a jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath.
The schedule changes depending on the season. Between April and October classes and games are held outdoors, while in the winter period the entertainment includes water aerobics, stretching and other indoor activities. Furthermore, visitors can explore the promenades and natural trails around the Ria Formosa.
Children have their own space
Families with children will also find a space dedicated to the youngest. The Kids Club organizes activities such as dancing, creative workshops, games, cooking and t-shirt customization. The program also features the character Leo, presented by the resort as a chameleon associated with the Ria Formosa and used in children’s entertainment activities.
During the months of greatest tourist demand, the entertainment continues until night. Between April and October there are daily shows with live music, magic and interactive competitions. In the other months of the year, according to the same source, the entertainment is mainly concentrated on weekends, with dance sessions, games and musical performances.
Regional restaurant and poolside bars
The gastronomic component is also part of the experience provided by the Algarve resort. The Amarelo Restaurant offers a buffet and dishes linked to regional cuisine, while the bars are open at different times of the year.
According to the Golden Club Cabanas website, Bar A Vela operates during the summer next to the pool and the Ria Café maintains service between October and May with cocktails and snacks facing the estuary.
