When searching for a topic on , especially news topics, the user’s priority is to find . Given the enormous volume of content published daily, filtering what is relevant can be a challenge.
To offer the user more control over the results, launches a new functionality in Brazil that allows you to define your preferred news sources.
With the new feature, now available in some countries, articles, videos and updates published by or any other chosen vehicle can be displayed with priority at the top of the search.
To view news more frequently Sheet on Google, the quickest way to configure is to access , select the box next to “Folha de S.Paulo” and click “Update results”. You must be logged into your Google account.
It is also possible to perform the configuration while browsing the search engine. After researching a topic, locate the “Top News” and click on the icon on the right to choose your preferred sources. A new screen will open and allow you to type “Folha de S.Paulo” (it’s no use just Folha, it needs to be the full name) and then “Update results”.
Taking control over sources is an important step to avoid being restricted to summaries generated by , which currently dominate the top of searches. Setting your preferences increases the chances of maintaining direct access to the original content of the Sheet.
From this setting onwards, your preferences will be valid for future Google searches. You can add and revert your preferred fonts at any time.
Choose the Sheet it does not exclude other portals, it only privileges the newspaper’s content. Selected sites may also appear in a dedicated news carousel called “from your sources”, located below the initial suggestions.
