Years ago, he was looking for a soulmate in front of the TV cameras, but instead of love, he found only disappointment and a bitter divorce. The well-known participant Marián from the reality show Farmer is looking for a woman, after years of living in seclusion, unexpectedly appeared in Progressive Slovakia, where people were asked what they thought of Prime Minister Fico.

After the show came a toxic marriage
According to the latest reports from July 2025 today, Marián works hard on his own farm, takes care of his mother and, despite bad experiences, still believes that he will not be alone. Participating in a popular TV show was a huge challenge for him. At that time, three women visited his homestead – Renáta, later the late Martinka from Turco, and Darina. Exactly he decided to connect his life with Darina, but a promising relationship very quickly turned into a nightmare that cost him his mental health.
With the passage of time, Marián admits that the wedding was not just the result of their love. “The company that filmed us pushed us into the marriage, so to speak,” he recalls of his television days. Although the marriage lasted only a short time, the divorce proceedings dragged on for two long years.
The former TV groom does not remember his ex-wife well. He describes her as a cunning and narcissistic woman who was primarily interested in money. “She took away my peace of mind,” she says without a napkin. The whole situation surrounding a failed relationship and a difficult divorce eventually resulted in his psychological breakdown and complete withdrawal from public life.
Today, Marián lives the modest life of an old bachelor on his farm, where he breeds cows and keeps his dogs company. The conditions on the farm are not easy – he lacks running water, which he has to carry in barrels, and he does all the hard work, including shoveling snow in winter, by himself. Now he is concentrating on his life and work, but he is not closing the door to a new relationship. According to him, women are interested in him, but this time he wants to choose much more carefully.
