PF presents protection scheme for presidential elections

Representatives of political parties participated in a meeting with the Federal Police, this Monday (May 18, 2026), at the PF headquarters in the Federal District. During the meeting, the institution detailed the operational planning to protect candidates for the Presidency of the Republic in .

The presentation addressed operational, logistical and preventive aspects of the institution’s actions during the electoral period. The PF exposed protocols that include continuous risk analysis and preventive monitoring of physical and cyber threats. The operation foresees integrated action with public security, health and traffic agencies.

Details of the election operation

The operation’s governance structure has real-time monitoring through a national command room in Brasília. There will be integration between regional superintendencies and teams dedicated to candidates.

The PF will also provide operational support at airports and other technical units of the institution. The DPP (Personal Protection Directorate) will coordinate the operation. The specialized staff of the Federal Police will include police officers trained in courses aimed at protecting authorities and major events.
