Martina Šimkovičová under fire! Zora Czoborová gave the minister a hard time, actor Jackuliak laughed at her: Definitely with you in Cannes…

The work trip to France was not met with much understanding! The Minister of Culture, Martina Šimkovičová, boasted about her participation in the negotiations on the future of European audiovisual. In Cannes, France, she met with the heads of culture of Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Luxembourg and representatives of the European Commission.

“We talked about the current challenges of the European audiovisual sector and how to ensure its further development at a time of growing global competition, digitization and the advent of artificial intelligence,” the minister boasted on social networks, adding photos to her words. They became viral once again thanks to the comments of her sympathizers and opponents. The second group did not spare their sharpened tongues and whipped the politician with critical references. And there were a few famous faces among them, who did not leave a single thread dry on Šimkovičová.

Actor Ján Jackuliak dug deep into the minister, who swept away her French program with a single sentence. “Someone must have negotiated with you in Cannes,” reacted the artist under the shots of Šimkovičová in a white and blue outfit. Marketing expert Simona Bubánová pointed out another detail. “Under the title – entry for artists,” she paused at a shot where the head of the resort is posing with a name in French behind her back. A frequent criticism in the comments was Šimkovičová’s costume, which was not cheap.

Despite this, he did not catch everyone’s eye. “Help, who advises her to do this,” asked public fitness expert Zora Czoborová, and her words were followed up by photographer and former make-up artist Lukáš Kimlička. “You should finally buy new shoes,” he said to the leading representative of culture. Jakub Lorencovič, a former actor with a porn case on his neck, went the farthest with invectives. “She will meet all her gay friends there, and when she returns to Slovakia, she will again become the homophobic beast we know.” he wrote on Instagram of the Die page.

Minister Šimkovičová did not respond to references from the bowels of show business. On Facebook, she emphasized that in addition to the meeting of European Union culture ministers in Cannes, she also had the great honor of supporting Slovak cinematography and presenting Slovakia as a country with huge potential for world film production.

“I am extremely pleased that Slovakia made it to the finals of the prestigious Global Production Awards 2026 in the Emerging Location category among countries such as Spain, Canada and the USA. Our beautiful natural scenery, historical monuments, traditions and unique atmosphere have something to offer even the most demanding filmmakers from all over the world. I am convinced that Slovakia has all the prerequisites to become an important film destination of international importance,” the politician said, adding that the awards ceremony will take place on May 18 during the Cannes International Film Festival.
