Fugitive from the Ponte de Sor Court records video: “I was shot, nobody did anything”

Manuel Moura Machado was on trial but ran away of the Ponte de Sor Court, last week.

The accused had been arrested for attempted murder. He would have fled during the preparation of the judicial interrogation – there were shots from military police inside and near the court, which was closed for security reasons.

This Tuesday he published a video on TikTok. He presented his justifications and announced that he was leaving deliver to Justice “soon”.

Manuel does not hide that what he did is grave, admit that you are sorry, but he explained: “I’m only like this in this situation because I have a lot of fear of what they can do to my family, particularly my children”.

He asked the authorities and the Public Prosecutor’s Office for help, many times, because of episodes of family violence who lived constantly. “Nothing was done.” Therefore, he agrees with André Ventura on Portuguese national security and justice.

“The justice system in Ponte de Sor is very incubated. I was shot, appliances were broken, cars were broken and no one did anything.”

He fled because he was afraid that something would be done to his family, and in the middle of a conflict that started 3 or 4 years ago.

The fugitive insists that he is involved in issues involving his family, he says that he is victim of family actions: “The people who are involved in this are also guilty.” They are “98% guilty for the acts I committed, but I’m not running away.”

“I know I’m not innocent, but I’m not 100% guilty”, he pointed out.

Authorities have not confirmed either the surrender of the fugitive or Manuel’s location.
