The Catalan Parliament has brought a proposal to Congress to modify the Euthanasia Regulation Law and reduce to a maximum of 25 days the maximum time between the decision approving aid in dying and the response of possible judicial appeals. The objective is to end the long waiting times when appeals are concatenated in the courts, which caused an o, and which is also prolonging the wait of another plaintiff, Francesc Augé, also pending before the Supreme Court, after the appeal filed by his father. The proposal criticizes “the added suffering” for people seeking aid in dying caused by judicial remedies that provisionally suspend their requests.
