The Green MEP and previous co-chair of the Greens in the European Parliament, Bas Eickhout, surprisingly announced on Wednesday that he would resign his mandate with immediate effect Politico reported. The background was “personal relationships” which, according to his own statements, were “incompatible with his role”.
