In the end, the matter was clear to the jury: On Wednesday, they unanimously convicted the former Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Egisto Ott, for espionage, abuse of office and other crimes. The sentence: 49 months of unconditional imprisonment, of which at least 20 months have no chance of being shackled. Ott wants to appeal against this and is also preparing an appeal for nullity due to possible procedural errors.
