Ángel León and Yoel Sucre had been detained by Venezuelan authorities
The two detained collaborators of the Vente Venezuela (VV) party, owned by opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, were released, CNN Portugal understands.
Ángel León was the first collaborator of that political formation to be detained by the authorities, when he returned from Colombia.
The party’s activism coordinator, Yoel Sucre, was also detained in the municipality of Barinas, on the border between the states of Apure and Barinas.
The party alerted the international community “to this new case of persecution registered against our leadership in recent days”, highlighting that “the persecution in the country by the regime continues”.
“We demand an end to the harassment and the immediate release of Yoel Sucre”, added VV.
