Julio Martínez’s agendas point to his influence in Venezuela for the release of prisoners or an intervention by the CNI to repatriate Edmundo González

During the search of the home of businessman Julio Martínez Martínez, the police came across evidence that can demonstrate that the businessman and friend of former president José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero had a relevant role in Venezuelan politics: some handwritten agendas where Martínez recorded “agreements, decisions, commitments, responsibilities, deadlines and events of the highest level.” One of the seized notebooks is black with silkscreen printing. PLUS ULTRA, AIRLINES. The annotations of this agenda, conclude the UDEF agents who analyzed its content, “reveal a possible intervention in strategic decisions of a public nature such as the release of prisoners in Venezuela or the intervention of agents of the Spanish intelligence service (CNI) in relation to what seems to correspond to the repatriation of Edmundo González and numerous annotations regarding the opposition to the government of Venezuela.”
