The Czech court decided on the conditional release of Dominik Feri

The District Court in Teplice decided on the conditional release of Dominik Feri. The former deputy has served two-thirds of his sentence for rape and is leaving prison.

On Tuesday, the District Court in Teplice, Czech Republic, granted the request of ex-ambassador Dominik Feri for conditional release. He served two-thirds of his three-year sentence for rape in prison, TASR writes, according to a report from the Novinky.cz portal.

Feri justified the request for parole by saying that he has always led an orderly life and will continue to lead it if the court releases him. “It’s a habit for me that I don’t intend to change,” he assured the judge. According to his own words, he behaved exemplary in prison. “Now I have different life priorities and ambitions than at the time when the deeds were supposed to happen,” he noted.

Dismissal

State attorney Ondřej Langr proposed to the court to grant Feri’s request. The prison psychologist had the same opinion, according to which the convict’s personality is balanced, and she does not recommend his further stay behind bars. According to her, Feri is not dangerous for society, and his lawyer had a similar opinion. On the contrary, the representative of the representative of the victims stated that his improvement was not proven.

In November 2023, the court sentenced the former deputy for TOP 09 to three years unconditionally for two rapes and one attempted rape. Feri entered prison in May 2024 and his repeated attempts to get parole have so far been unsuccessful.
