What was planned as a tribute during his lifetime and on his 65th birthday has now become, after Alfred J. Noll’s death in March 2026, a posthumous look back at the life of the man who was born in Salzburg in 1960. The two editors of the almost 500-page volume The citizen as revolutionary – Nikolaus Dimmel (university professor and friend of Noll for decades) and Dominik Öllerer (lawyer and club director of the KPÖ in the Salzburg state parliament) – have brought together more than 20 well-known authors who pay their respects to Noll in the chapters ad personam, philosophy, politics and law.
