Federal deputy Júlia Zanatta (-SC) reported having received more than a hundred attacks on social media since she joined the special commission that discussed the end of .
Despite having seven vacancies on the board, . Zanatta was one of the party’s most active voices on the commission.
At one of the meetings, she left the college booed by students and representatives of trade unions.
But what worries the parliamentarian is that the attacks invaded social networks, a space where Bolsonarism used to dominate and, now, has been a recurring target of criticism.
The more than one hundred posts contain insults and death threats against the deputy, which has raised concerns about her safety. The biggest fear is that threats will come from the digital environment.
Faced with the avalanche of cases, the parliamentarian’s team reported 16 of them to the Legislative Police last week alone. The records contain cases of insult, defamation, incitement to crime and threats.
Police reports have been registered and the cases will be investigated. If a crime is found, the threats will be taken to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
