The President of Iran’s Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated that Tehran “has no confidence in guarantees or words” and that only behavior is “the criterion”, amid doubts about the ceasefire agreed with the US after new attacks exchanged between the sides in the Middle East. Expectations also focus on a possible understanding to end the conflict.
“We obtain concessions not with dialogue, but with missiles; in negotiation, we just explain them to them,” he wrote in a post on X, without explicitly mentioning the United States. “No action will be taken before the opposing party takes action,” he added.
Without providing any details, Ghalibaf argued that the winner of any agreement is “the one who prepares best for war from the next day onwards”.
