was selected to join the 1995 Society, an honor given by the American organization America’s Future to people under 40 who stand out in promoting ideas of freedom, entrepreneurship and strengthening civil society. She is the first Brazilian in history to receive the distinction.
The honorees are nominated by their peers and chosen by the organization based on their public performance, leadership capacity and contribution to strengthening initiatives that promote individual freedom and institutional development.
Patriota has a PhD in Law from USP, a master’s degree from the University of Brasília (UnB) and a bachelor’s degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).
Currently, she is part of the global leadership of the Ladies of Liberty Alliance (Lola), an international organization dedicated to training and supporting women leaders committed to expanding human rights in their countries.
