Still according to the research, the law guaranteed 228 thousand jobs and generated R$3.8 million in taxes collected. In 2024, the government invested R$3 million in the Rouanet Law.
Opportunity with security!
At the event in Rio de Janeiro, the Minister stressed that, despite the gains, the Ministry of Culture has the smallest budget among federal ministries – according to her, the investment represents around 0.4%.

The Rouanet Law is the longest-running cultural incentive program in Brazil. To obtain the approval of the law, cultural projects send proposals to receive support from individuals or legal entities. In exchange, the federal government offers a tax waiver of the corresponding amount directed to cultural projects.
