Força Atleticana Revolucionária questions the BH Chamber’s tribute to the senator, who will receive the title of honorary citizen
The organized crowd do , a protest against the senator and PL pre-candidate for president, , for Tuesday (June 2, 2026), at 4:30 pm. The act will be in front of the because of the award of the title of honorary citizen to the congressman.
The concentration will begin on Av. dos Andradas, in the Santa Efigênia neighborhood. The tribute ceremony at City Hall is scheduled to begin at 5pm.
On social media, organized fans criticized the initiative, stating that it was “a mockery of the city and democracy”. He said that the municipal Legislature should focus on “real problems of the people”instead of paying tribute to a political project that, according to the group, “attacked” institutions and persecuted workers.
The granting of the title was proposed by members of the PL, under the leadership of the councilor (PL).
The councilor declared that the honor is a way of recognizing the senator’s trajectory and welcoming the pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic. Santos also stated that the party has the largest bench in the House, with 7 councilors.
This will be Flávio’s first visit to the capital of Minas Gerais in the pre-campaign.
After the ceremony at the municipal Legislature, the senator will participate in an event at Sesc Palladium, at 6pm, to launch the pre-candidacy for federal deputy (PL-MG) to the Senate. The congressman will also go to , a dairy livestock fair held at the Gameleira Exhibition Park, before traveling to Patos de Minas and returning to Brasília.
