Israel warns of hostile air intrusion amid exchange of attacks with Hezbollah

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported, in a message on Telegram this Monday, 1, that sirens were triggered by an alert of intrusion by a “hostile” aircraft in the north of the country.

The statement came amid an exchange of attacks between Israel and the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah, which fired rockets into northern Israeli territory, including the outskirts of the coastal city of Haifa.

“The incident has been closed. There were no reports of injuries,” the military reported. According to the IDF, a suspected aerial target has been identified.

Israeli forces also said that, after the sirens were activated, several projectiles launched from Lebanon towards Israeli territory were identified. Many were intercepted and others fell in open areas.
