The governor of the state of São Paulo for the Republicans, Tarcísio de Freitas, joked the Minister of Financewho ran against him in the 2022 election, Fernando Haddad (PT)in an interview with Pânico Program, from Jovem Panthis Monday (1st).
“Four years later, what do we have? We here have a lot of deliveries in São Paulo, and he had a brilliant time at the Ministry of Finance. He became the best Finance Minister in the history of Paraguay. Because all Brazilian companies went there.”
Tarcísio won the second round dispute for the government of São Paulo in 2022 with 55.27% of the votes, while Haddad was chosen by 44.73% of the electorate. Node first round, the Republican reached 42.32%against 35.70% for the PT member, and Rodrigo Garcia (PSDB) came in third with 18.40%.
In search of re-election, Tarcísio works with the expectation of a “joint convention” to formalize the candidates of the 2026 election, at the Pacaembu Stadium. Felício Ramuth (PSD) must continue as vice-president on the re-election ticket for the government of the state of São Paulo.
Haddad should once again be the main opponent in the electoral dispute of the state in 2026. The pre-candidate for the government of São Paulo and current Minister of Finance has already started contact with mayors from the interior of the state in individual meetings.
