The magistrate has been removed from office since February 10, 2026 and has been subject to PAD (disciplinary administrative proceedings) since the accusations were presented. The process will continue its course at the STJ after the statements have been collected.
The 1st accusation came from a young woman, daughter of a couple of friends of the minister. She reported that the magistrate tried to grab her while swimming in the sea in Balneário Camboriú, on the coast of Santa Catarina. The episode would have occurred in January 2026, when the minister was on vacation there accompanied by the young woman and her parents.
After the first case was disclosed, a former outsourced employee who worked in the minister’s office filed a complaint, reporting that she had been the target of sexual harassment.
On Wednesday (May 27), the court paid to the minister. With the change, the magistrate’s net remuneration fell to R$35,100 in May.
In addition to the process at the STJ, Minister Buzzi is the subject of proceedings at the which examines the case in the criminal sphere. As he holds the position of minister of the STJ, Buzzi has a privileged position.
The judge’s defense maintains that he did not commit any improper act and that this will be proven during the investigation.
In a note to Poder360the minister’s team stated: “During the course of the investigation, the defense of Minister Marco Buzzi will act with serenity, responsibility, with respect for the institutions and people involved. 30 witnesses were appointed by the defense, of which 16 were admitted by the Processing Committee and who will certainly be able to elucidate the truth of the facts”.
