Is the truce definitely collapsing? Crushing words of the general: Without surrender, war is inevitable!

Rejection of American demands may lead to renewed armed conflict between Iran and the US, Mohammad Jaafar Asadi, deputy chief of the Central Command of the Iranian Army, also called Khatam al-Anbiya, pointed out on Tuesday. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AFP agency.

  • Mohammad Jaafar al-Assadi warned that the rejection of American demands will bring an inevitable war.
  • Donald Trump demanded the unconditional surrender of Iran and threatened to destroy the entire civilization.
  • Iran has suspended mediated dialogue with the United States over Israeli ceasefire violations.
  • Trump announced Israel’s agreement with Hezbollah on a ceasefire and continued negotiations.
  • The United States carried out new strikes on Iran in self-defense while the ceasefire was in effect.

“The United States demands our complete surrender, but the Iranian people will never surrender,” said Asadi. “Without surrender, war is inevitable,” he pointed out. At the beginning of the war with Iran, US President Donald Trump called for its unconditional surrender. He later also warned of the destruction of “an entire civilization.” Since then, Tehran has repeatedly threatened more powerful attacks if it does not agree to a deal with the US that would lead to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s commitment that it will never seek to acquire a nuclear weapon.

According to a Monday report by the Tasnim agency, Iran has suspended the mediated dialogue with the United States due to Israeli violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon. Trump subsequently declared that he had not heard about the move by the Iranian side in advance, but that the pause is fine and he is willing to wait. At the same time, however, he claimed that he was not interested in the eventual collapse of the talks.

Later on Monday, the White House chief announced an agreement between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah to cease all fire, saying that negotiations with Tehran “continue at a rapid pace”.

Iran’s Mehr news agency, citing a source close to Iran’s negotiating team, reported on Tuesday that Iran has not yet responded to the US proposal for a final agreement to end the conflict between them. Discussions on the final text continue in Tehran, and Iran views the proposal cautiously because it perceives that the US has not followed through on its commitments in the past.the source said.

In the war between the USA and Iran, a cease-fire has been in effect since the beginning of April. Despite this, the US has launched new strikes on Iran in recent days. The US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) says it carried out the strikes in self-defense and in retaliation for Iran’s “aggressive” actions, including the downing of a US MQ-1 drone. Tehran, in turn, announced an attack on a base used by the US military.
