Vienna – In Austria, energy consumption increased year-on-year in April. The supply of electricity to end customers increased by 1.8 percent to 5.3 terawatt hours (TWh). Gas consumption also increased and climbed by 5.4 percent to 5.95 TWh. This emerges from current data from the regulatory authority E-Control. At the same time, domestic energy production fell in both areas, which led to an increase in imports of electricity.
