The senator (PP-PI) stated that he was “one of the most important names” of the country when asked about his relationship with Daniel Vorcaro, founder of Banco Master. According to the congressman, the position he achieved in politics led him to meet great Brazilian bankers and businessmen.
“I know all the big businessmen in the country. I am one of the most important names. Thank God, I have transformed this into a benefit for the State of Piauí, which is the most important”declared in an interview with Piripiri Reporter.
Ciro also stated that he was invited by big bankers and businessmen, but he did not finish the sentence or detail which invitations he was referring to.

When asked about the suspicions related to his proximity to Vorcaro, Ciro stated that this type of accusation is common during electoral periods.
“Every election comes these types of accusations. In the last election there were also these types of accusations, but the population of Piauí knows my work”he declared.
Ciro is serving his second consecutive term in the Senate. His career in the House began in 2011. Before that, he served 4 terms as a federal deputy. He also commanded the Civil House in the government of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), from 2021 to 2022.
CIRO AND MASTER
national president of Progressistas (PP), was the target of a search and seizure warrant carried out by the Federal Police on May 7, 2026.
The action is part of a new stage of the operation, which investigates suspected crimes related to Banco Master and Vorcaro. It was the first phase of the investigation to reach the political core of the case.
According to the PF, there is evidence that Vorcaro paid for Ciro’s personal expenses, including meals, international travel and credit card bill payments.
Messages obtained by the investigation also indicate possible monthly transfers of R$300,000 to R$500,000 to the senator. The PF determines whether the amounts were paid in exchange for action favorable to the interests of the group linked to Banco Master.
The investigation also analyzes an amendment presented by Ciro. According to the PF, the text would have been prepared by the bank’s advisors and sent to the senator.
At the time, Ciro’s defense declared that he “had no participation in illicit activities” and stated that the investigation measures were taken based on “mere exchange of messages, especially by third parties”.
