The world of Slovak music was hit by devastating news on Thursday, June 4. The popular singer Jozef Kuky died suddenly. The whole of Slovakia got to know him six years ago, when he published a cover version of the song Zatancuj si s meno by Adam Ďuric on the YouTube platform. Today, the mix of songs has more than 5.4 million views.
Terne Band Zvolen announced the sad news on the social network. “My little one, rest in peace. My friend, you were one of the few who knew how to guide and advise me. I really appreciated that about you. Your human approach and words. You were truly a special person with a big heart. We will miss you very much,” one of the members of the Terne Band said to the sky.
The cause of the musician’s sudden death is still unclear. However, a group appeared on the social network that revealed the details of the final farewell. “With deep sadness in our hearts, we announce to all relatives, friends and acquaintances that on June 4, 2026, our beloved nephew, cousin, talented musician and good friend Jozef Kuky left us forever at the age of 30,” the singer’s family announced.
The funeral will take place five days after his death. “The last farewell to our dear deceased will be on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the cemetery in Dvorníke. Thank you for the expressions of sympathy. The grieving family,” it is written on the part. PHOTO can be found in the gallery.
