Apple was actually quite early on the topic of “artificial intelligence”: When the company released the first version of Siri in 2011, it was a pioneer in the industry. Other large companies such as Google, Amazon or Microsoft should only release their own digital assistants later. Apple has also long used machine learning on the iPhone to carry out complex tasks – usually directly on the device.
