Moraes authorizes Flávio, granddaughters and daughter-in-law to visit Bolsonaro

Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), authorized this Wednesday (10) that former president Jair Bolsonaro receive a visit from his son Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), daughter-in-law Fernanda Antunes Figueira Bolsonaro and his two minor granddaughters. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, 13th, from 11am to 1pm.

“The request formulated for authorization of visits by the son, granddaughters and daughter-in-law of the person in custody, proves to be compatible with the purposes of house arrest and with the conditions previously established, contributing to the maintenance of family support essential for the adequate fulfillment of the sentence, under the same conditions that would be granted in the penitentiary establishment”, stated the minister in the decision.

Moraes determined that visitors will be inspected and electronic devices will remain with the police.

The decision responds to the request filed by the defense on Tuesday, 8th, which identified the visitors as “members of the close family” of the former president. The granddaughters are daughters of the couple Flávio and Fernanda. Flávio Bolsonaro is a pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic.

Jair Bolsonaro has been under house arrest since March 24, when he was discharged after two weeks of intensive care for bacterial pneumonia. The humanitarian measure, granted by Moraes himself, lasts 90 days from discharge and aims to guarantee the former president’s complete recovery.

He was sentenced by the First Panel of the STF, in September 2025, to 27 years and 3 months in prison for his role in the attempted coup d’état. The sentence includes 24 years and 9 months in prison and 2 years and 6 months in prison, in an initially closed regime.
