This Thursday, the Spanish military industry launched a message of unity for the development and production of a sixth-generation combat aircraft. The representatives of Airbus Defense and Space, GMV, Oesía, Indra, ITP Aero and Sener have signed a document at the headquarters of Tedae (the employer’s association that represents the sector) in which they have highlighted the “willingness” of the national industry to continue with the development of a new generation combat system. It should be noted that Europe currently does not even have its own fifth-generation fighter (whose main characteristic is that it is invisible to radar), leaving the American F-35, which has already been acquired by 13 countries, including Germany, without competition.
