At the age of 67, the acclaimed Broadway actress Gina Ferrall left foreverwhich the world came to know mainly thanks to the original cast of the musical hit Mamma Mia!. The sad news was confirmed by her husband – musician Kory Grossman, reports . The theater artist lost a short but exhausting battle with a rare and very aggressive form of cancer – uterine sarcoma.
Ferrall belonged to the stable and extremely valued faces of the New York theater world. During her rich career, she played many memorable characters. She shone as Mrs. Thénardier in the famous Les Misérables, acted in Beauty and the Beast and in the successful musical Wicked.
However, her most iconic role was the role of Rosie in the original Broadway production of Mamma Mia!. She recently concluded her rich career in 2022 with a performance in Tom Stoppard’s critically acclaimed play Leopoldstadt.
Colleagues remember her not only as a perfect professional, but above all as a person with a huge heart who brought joy on and off the stage.
