Trump nominates Attorney General Clayton as new intelligence chief

Washington – US President Donald Trump actually wanted to promote inexperienced henchman Bill Pulte to intelligence coordinator – but after massive resistance in Congress, the president has chosen a new spy chief. On Thursday, Trump nominated 59-year-old lawyer Jay Clayton as director of the 18 US intelligence agencies. The appointment requires the approval of the Senate.
