The president of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Thursday, 11, that the signing of an agreement with Iran could happen soon, possibly by the weekend.
According to him, the negotiation would result in a commitment that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon.
Trump said the final documents should be completed in the coming days and that signing could take place in Europe.
“The Strait of Hormuz will reopen after the agreement is formalized,” Trump said at a press conference in the Oval Office.
According to Trump, Vice President JD Vance would be responsible for signing the understanding.
“We just made a great deal to end the war with Iran,” he said.
