Petrobras offers 15 scholarships worth R$20,000 to journalists – 06/12/2026 – Novo em Folha

Journalists from all over Brazil can now sign up for the second edition of , which will distribute R$300,000 in grants for the production of reports on the energy of the future. In total, 15 scholarships of R$20,000 will be awarded.

In this edition, the program seeks to support topics on scientific research related to new energy sources, energy transition, sustainable fuels, technological innovation and other initiatives aimed at the future of the energy sector. Reports may be produced in text, audio or video formats.

The 15 grants will be distributed among the country’s five regions, with three projects selected in each. At least five grants will be allocated to proposals led by members of historically underrepresented groups, such as women, black or brown people, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, indigenous people and quilombolas.

Professional journalists linked to media outlets and freelancers can participate. When registering, candidates must indicate the vehicle responsible for publishing the report and present a letter of consent that proves their commitment to broadcast the content.

Among the selection criteria are the journalistic relevance of the agenda, adherence to the theme of the notice, the feasibility of the investigation and the reach of the vehicle in which the work will be published.

The selected projects will have up to 120 days, counting from receipt of the grant, to publish the reports. Registration is open until July 6th.
