Limeira City Hall will sue the Federal Government for rope jump bridge

A Limeira City Hall reported, on Saturday afternoon (13), that will sue the Federal Government in court “in light of the omission on the Skeleton Bridge”, after the death of a young man there.

This Saturday morning, a 24 year old woman died, while practicing a “rope jump” activity on the Skeleton Bridge Trail.

The company that carries out the sport did not place the rope that was supposed to hold the young woman, who was thrown from a great height.

In a note, the City hall claims that supervision, maintenance and access control to the Bridge falls exclusively to the Federal Government.

The municipal administration further explained that, since 2025, had already sent letters to the responsible bodies demanding security measures.

These measures were carried out together with the councilor Bruna Magalhãeswho even camped one night on the bridge

After the young woman’s death, this Saturday, the administration announced the legal process, stating that the continuation of this omission had become “unsustainable and unacceptable”.
