Bayern scores with Morocco’s goal scorer against Brazil – 06/15/2026 – Sport

Bayern Munich agreed to sign Moroccan striker Ismael Saibari this Monday (15). The information is from The Athletic, The New York Times’ sports journalism platform.

Saibari scored Morocco’s goal against Brazil on Saturday (13), in both teams’ debut match at the World Cup. The striker opened the scoring in the 20th minute of the first half, after receiving a pass in the middle of the Brazilian defense and covering goalkeeper Alisson. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Vinicius Junior equalized the score in the first half.

The Moroccan played last season for PSV, in the Netherlands. He scored 15 goals and provided 8 assists in 27 games. His club was national champion for the 27th time.

According to The Athletic, there is no information about the transfer fees, and the agreement still depends on medical examinations. According to sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, known for his work in the transaction market, the deal was closed for €55 million (R$323 million).

If the operation is confirmed, the Moroccan will join the squad of the current champion of the German Championship and the German Cup. Bayern, coached by Vincent Kompany, released midfielder Leon Goretzka and left-back Raphael Guerreiro at the end of last season.

Saibari is considered versatile and can play as a midfielder, left winger or center forward. At the World Cup, he is coach Mohamed Ouahbi’s most advanced option.

Son of Moroccan parents, Saibari was born in Terrassa, Spain, and grew up in Belgium, where he began his career. He went to the Netherlands after receiving an offer from PSV, still in the youth categories.

He should return to the field in the clash between Morocco and Scotland on Friday (19), at 7pm, in the second round of the World Cup.
