LULA NO G7

Lula is in France amid trade tensions with the United States and over Brazilian products. Despite this, there is no expectation of a meeting between the PT member and the North American president, Donald Trump (Republican Party).

The president will participate in debates on balanced economic growth. Lula must defend that there is an exclusionary growth model that leaves some countries in a vulnerable situation.

The PT member will also participate in sessions on international partnerships and global development. The expectation is that members of the group will defend a reduction in the transfer of resources to emerging countries and greater participation of private capital in financing these economies.

In contrast to this position, Lula must demand that rich countries commit to financing initiatives aimed at combating poverty and promoting the development of emerging economies.

Earlier, (SVP, right). There is also an expectation of a meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi (Liberal Democratic Party, right).
