A São Paulo Justice considered how “gross negligence” the conduct of three employees of the company Entre Cordas, arrested for the murder of Maria Eduarda de Rodrigues de Freiras21 years old. The young woman died during a jump from rope jump at Ponte do Esqueleto in Limeira, in the interior of São Paulo, on Saturday morning (13).
The description was used by the judge during the custody hearing to support the conversion . According to the magistrate, the suspects took the risk of causing the victim’s death by allowing her to jump without checking whether she was using mandatory safety equipment.
Maria Eduarda went to the location and looked for the company to perform the rope jump. However, it was thrown by company employees from a height of approximately 40 meters. The three only realized that she was without her equipment shortly after the fall. The young woman died as a result of multiple trauma caused by the impact of the accident.
According to the decision, the police also found that Maria Eduarda which, in the judge’s assessment, may indicate an attempt to conceal evidence.
Furthermore, the magistrate highlights that the three tried to leave the place after the incident. For him, the conduct demonstrates the possibility of obstructing the investigations.
The fact that the suspects carried out the activity habitually was also considered an indication of risk, as these episodes could happen again if they were free.
“Thus, I recognize, for the purposes of this act, that the conduct conforms, in theory, to the crime of intentional homicide in the form of possible intent. Having overcome the issue regarding the classification of the crime, I move on to assessing the requirements and assumptions for converting the act into preventive detention”
Company did not have authorization to carry out the jumps

The information was passed on to CNN Brazil this Monday (15) by , belonging to the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), responsible for the Skeletor Bridge, the place where Maria Eduarda was thrown from a height of 40 meters.
