Federal judge Macário Ramos Júdice Neto completed this Tuesday (16) six months in prison without having been heard by the (Supreme Federal Court). He was arrested on suspicion of leaking information about an operation against then state deputy Thiego dos Santos, (MDB).
The (Attorney General’s Office) has already denounced the judge, but a hearing depends on the case’s rapporteur, Alexandre de Moraes. In May, the minister maintained the magistrate’s arrest.
According to the accusations, Macário had met with the then president of the Legislative Assembly of , (União Brasil), in a steakhouse on the eve of the operation.

The defense claims that the analysis of the judge’s cell phones proves that he and Bacellar were not in the same location indicated by the PF ().
The lawyers say that the judge was in a restaurant in Leblon, while the cell phone of the then president of the Assembly was connected in Copacabana.
To the Panel, Macário’s family regretted the maintenance of the prison and said that he has collaborated with justice without risking the progress of the process.
“The family deeply regrets the disproportionate maintenance of the prison without sufficient evidence being presented to justify it.”
They complain that the prison has caused physical and emotional stress on the judge, who turned 60 in January.
“We hope that the appeals presented will be analyzed and allow him to respond to the process in freedom, with the opportunity to fully present his version of the facts”, they concluded.
