Juntos por el Perú, party of presidential candidate Roberto Sánchez, called for a mobilization for Friday (June 19, 2026) in Lima, capital of Peru. The organization stated this Tuesday (June 16) that it will not accept “that a result be imposed that does not reflect the popular will with absolute transparency and without any doubt or controversy”. The information is from the news website .
The demonstration takes place as the counting of the 2nd round of the presidential elections, held on June 7, 2026, approaches completion. With just over 99% of the minutes counted, Fuerza Popular’s candidate, Keiko Fujimori, has 50.09% of the votes. Sánchez appears with 49.9% of the support of the Peruvian electorate.
O Together for Peru declared that “the citizen vote was delegitimized”. The organization stated that there is a “lack of transparency” of state bodies during the electoral process.
The party also said it had “political-media maneuvers” which, according to political formation, have attacked the sovereignty of the people. For the organization, there is “a clear corporate will contrary to the interests of the majority”.
