The senator (), pre-candidate for the Presidency, has scheduled a series of visits to newsrooms in the country for the next few days.
The objective is to relax the relationship with the press and show that he has a different attitude from that adopted by Jair Bolsonaro (PL), whose mandate was marked by confrontation with the media. Flávio has been trying to appear more moderate than his father.
This Monday (15), the senator admitted that Bolsonaro made mistakes in his relationship with the press.
The program includes meetings with directors of media outlets, CEOs, directors and sector executives.
“Democracy is strengthened with respect, dialogue and freedom. The press plays a fundamental role in shaping public opinion, and meetings like these are valuable opportunities to listen and present proposals, in addition to deepening the debate on the future of our country. Good relationships with the media are essential for building permanent channels of frank debate”, says the pre-candidate.
