Just as he was welcomed by Robert Downey Jr. when he took on the role of “Spider-Man”, Tom Holland, 30, wants to mentor the next actor to play the hero.
has played the character in the Marvel franchise since 2016, when he appeared as Peter Parker in “Captain America: Civil War”.
With the film as the character about to debut, he has a suggestion for who could succeed him: , young star who was successful in “” (Netflix).
“Owen Cooper would be amazing. Obviously. He’s super talented and he’s hot right now,” Holland said in an interview with Esquire magazine.
Owen is 16 years old and his role as the teenager accused of killing a schoolmate has earned him awards such as , some of the biggest film awards.
When he won the golden statuette in January, Owen became the second youngest actor in history to win a category at the awards.
