Wagner bought a million-dollar property in Bahia with the help of Vorcaro’s former partner, says PF

The launch of the ninth phase of Operation Compliance Zero, this Thursday (18), revealed details about possible illegal financial transfers to the leader of the Lula government in the Senate, Jaques Wagner (PT-BA). According to the Federal Police, the parliamentarian would have received a series of illegal advantages, from transfers totaling R$ 3.5 millioncarried out through a company linked to the politician’s daughter-in-law, until obtaining a million-dollar property in Bahiawith the help of Daniel Vorcaro’s former partner, Augusto Dias, also the target of the police operation.

According to the investigation, the proximity between the parties involved a suspicious transaction of an apartment in Poeme Residence (unit 1702), located in the Horto Florestal neighborhood, an upscale area of ​​the capital of Bahia.

Documents obtained by Jovem Pan show that the Federal Police found an exchange of messages between Jaques Wagner and Augusto Lima in November 2024, in which it is said that “the unit is 1702 and the price is 2.45 million”. On the day

On the same date, Vorcaro’s former partner held a voice call with Valério Marega Júnioridentified as a financial operator linked to fund and company structures used in the context of Banco Master. Police records also show that negotiations over the apartment continued after the first phase of Compliance Zero began.with sending drafts of assignment of rights, videoconferences and communications with legal operators. In other words, even though they were investigated, those involved continued trying to regularize the property.

In May 2025, Wagner forwarded to Augusto a message originally sent by a son or daughter — the document identifies the address “Father” — asking for details of the formal owner of the Poème Horto apartment to issue a Technical Responsibility Record, necessary for works on the property. The deadline was 05/19.

Wagner forwarded the request to Augusto, who the following day forwarded the contact details of David Lopes Monteiro, the group’s financial operator. The decision uses this episode to state that the property was “formally linked to a third party, in a structure to disguise real ownership.

The illegality of the transaction is demonstrated by the concealment of the real beneficiary. In the documents, the company Epítome SA is named as the formal purchaser of the apartment.
