On Thursday evening, a truck and a motorcyclist collided near Spišská Nová Ves in the Novoveská Huta – Gretľa section. All emergency services, including air rescuers, are on the scene. Road II/533 in the section between Novoveská Huta and Hnilčík is currently impassable. The Košice regional police informed about it on the social network.
“According to the findings so far, the motorcyclist should have gone in the opposite direction, where the collision with the truck occurred,” she added that the motorcyclist is being provided with immediate medical assistance. The police ask drivers to respect the instructions of the officers on the spot, to increase caution and if possible to avoid the section. The police added that the circumstances of the traffic accident are under investigation.
