The Prime Minister of the Slovak Government Robert Fico (Smer-SD) on Thursday before the meeting of the European Council in Brussels he also met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Fico appreciated the mutual dialogue, namely despite the fact that he and Zelensky do not have the same opinion on all topics. The TASR special reporter informs about it.
According to Fico, the meeting focused on practical issues. They talked about the preparation of the joint negotiations between the governments of the Slovak Republic and Ukraine, the current situation and the expansion of the European Union. “The dialogue is taking on a rather interesting quality. I am personally happy about it, although I repeat, we have different opinions on many things, and I believe that I will meet Mr. President Zelensky again in Gdańsk next week, where there will be another big summit that affects Ukraine.” stated Fico.
The Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine will be held in Gdansk, Poland, on June 25 and 26. The event will focus on the sectors most affected by Russian aggression – energy, critical infrastructure and logistics.
