On Thursday evening, the Austrian Film Prize took place on the stage of the new Vienna film studios called hq7 in Simmering. One of the big winners of the evening, which was decorated with lively slapstick numbers, was the film that was most nominated in advance: Alexandra Makarová’s autobiographical immigrant drama Perlawhich is set between Vienna and Slovakia in the 1980s.
