Fans made the floor of Casa CazéTV, in São Paulo, shake with the goals of Matheus Cunha, number 9, and Vini Jr., number 7, on Friday night (19).
The victory over the Haitian team in Philadelphia (USA) placed the Brazilian team, after a draw with Morocco in their debut, at the top of Group C of the World Cup.
The report followed the broadcast of the match in the space installed in the Villa-Lobos park, in the western region of the capital of São Paulo. The track at the venue was packed at the opening whistle. National team flags and shirts took over the environment.
Among the crowd dressed in yellow, it was also possible to find fans wearing masks with the face of Vini Jr., one of the most celebrated names of the night.
Brazilian goals were celebrated with jumping, hugs and lots of shouting, as well as beer being thrown into the air.
The public followed each attack by Carlo Ancelotti’s team with attentive eyes. The atmosphere alternated between tension and euphoria.
Judoka Beatriz Souza, 28, gold medalist at the Paris Olympics, watched the game on Casa CazéTV.
“They [os jogadores] They have to know that we are always rooting for them and their success. When they are on the field, our hearts are there”, said the medalist.
“I hope they can carry our fans’ emotions, they can vibrate more and more with our fans and score many goals”, said the athlete.
During the break, the fans sang one of the most traditional chants linked to the Brazilian team.
In chorus, they chanted: “In 58, it was Pelé. In 62, it was Mané. In 70, the squad. First to be three-time champion. 94, Romário. 2002, Phenomenon. First four-time champion. The only five-time champion is Brasilzão!”.
Just before the hydration break in the middle of the second half, a Gabriel Martinelli shot exploded onto the crossbar and drew a collective chorus of “uuuuuh”. Many fans were incredulous at the wasted chance.
From the box, Cíntia Ramos, Endrick’s mother, watched the number 19’s debut. In the 32nd minute, the athlete had a goal disallowed for offside and she put her hands to her head, in disbelief.
HAS Sheet fans commented on the dispute between Brazil and Haiti.
“Brazil played very well and much better than in the first game,” said student Diogo Mulaski, 10.
“It was cool that Endrick and Rayan came on, and I also liked Vini Jr’s goal. I think the game against Scotland will be 3-0 [para o Brasil] and Brazil will come first in this group stage, God willing.”
For Naiara de Sá, 33, who works as product manager, the addition of Endrick and Rayan was also positive, but she considers that the selection still needs adjustments.
“There are still many flaws in several areas. The luck is that we got a team that is not that strong in attack. We will suffer a little if we get past the group stage. The team is a bit of a mess, perhaps because it doesn’t actually have a full-back”, he stated, without specifying whether the reference was to the right or left back.
Engineer Carlos Soeira, 67, understands that Brazil will face more difficulties against Scotland, but will still come away with victory.
“I don’t think it will be as big a score as today [sexta-feira]. It should be a tight victory, something like 1-0.”
Accountant Bianca Queiroz, 26, said she believed that Brazil’s performance surprised fans after their weak debut against Morocco. “I think we surprised everyone because of the last game. We started the first half very well and, in the second, the team became calmer,” he said.
“I think the fans expected Endrick a lot, and Ancelotti brought him into the game. It was a good change. Despite the goal being disallowed for offside, he arrived. That was very important. My hope now is that Neymar will be on the field [contra a Escócia]. We still have to see him play in this World Cup”, he added.
‘with pride and love’
After the final whistle, Grupo Benzadeus took to the home stage and entertained the fans with verses from the track “Aquarela do Brasil”, by João Gilberto.
Between one song and another, the audience declared they were Brazilian, “with a lot of pride, with a lot of love”. The party continued with a pagoda show presented by the quintet.
On Wednesday (24), the Brazilian team faces the Scottish team in the last stage before the knockout stage.
The game starts at 7pm, at the Miami stadium (USA). The broadcast will be from Cazé TV, Globo, SBT, NSports, SporTV, Globoplay and ge tv.
