END in the Promise? Adriána Brnčalová’s bold move: I know it won’t be easy!

Slovak actress Adriána Brnčalová starred on TV screens for the first time in the daily family series Sľub, which the audience loves. He plays a character there Zuzana Fraňová. In order to film the series, Adriána even interrupted her studies at the University of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava. In an interview for the newspaper, she admitted a major life decision.

Interrupting studies was not easy. “It was harder than it might have seemed from the outside. On the one hand, a huge job opportunity came, which I longed for and wanted to take full advantage of, but on the other hand, I knew I was leaving something I loved. It was not an overnight decision. I thought about it a lot,” she said honestly.

Interruption of studies at the university is permitted by the dean of the faculty based on the student’s written request. As a rule, it is required to complete at least one semester and meet the conditions for enrollment in the next one. Without giving a reason, it is possible to interrupt the studies, as a rule, for one to two years. For health reasons, maternity or parental leave is often up to three years.

At VŠMU, the maximum period of study interruption is set at two academic years. In the case of Adriána, this period ends already in September, so she faced the important question of whether she would return to the school desks.

Adriána has already decided what to do next. “I’m the type of person who doesn’t like to leave things unfinished. At the same time, I still felt that I wanted to return to school one day. During the last two years, I gained a lot of experience directly in practice, for which I am extremely grateful, but at the same time, I still had the desire to continue my studies. I don’t see it as an obligation, but as an opportunity to develop further,” she thought about her situation.

All fans are probably interested in only one thing – whether this decision of Brnčalova will somehow affect the plot line of her character in the series Sľub. “I know it won’t be easy, but I believe that when a person really wants something, he will find a way. I will probably have to be more organized than I have been so far,” she revealed.

The PR manager of TV Markíza commented on the matter for the Slovak daily. “It’s not unusual for actors to have study commitments alongside filming. It’s all a matter of mutual communication and good planning, which makes it possible to juggle the two seamlessly.” said Alexandra Hrušková.
