Amid the dispute for a candidate for the Senate in São Paulo, the former ministers (Rede) and () exchanged compliments and pleasantries this Sunday (21), at a political event in São Paulo.
Both participated in the launch of the pre-candidacies of Marina Helou (PSB) for federal deputy and
“Marina and I have lived together for many years. And we always had several disagreements. But over time and with maturity, I realized that, 95% of the time, Marina was right”, said França. Both sat side by side during the event.
Speaking about his colleague’s trajectory on the environmental agenda, the former minister said that she “became a symbol of this fight throughout the world.”
In his speech, he recalled sad moments he had with France, such as the plane crash that killed Eduardo Campos (PSB) during the 2014 campaign. At the time, Marina was the one who took over the presidential candidacy.
“And there were joyful moments, when we celebrated the broad front you helped create and defeated those who wanted to defeat our democracy,” she said, addressing France.
In addition to the two, former minister Simone Tebet (PSB) also presents herself as a pre-candidate for the Senate in São Paulo, who was not present, but sent a video message.
The event, in a theater in the São Paulo neighborhood of Butantã, brought together around 300 people. Now a state deputy, Helou intends to run for federal with issues such as sustainability and defense of children. Her calling card is the project that banned the use of cell phones in classrooms in the state, which was later replicated nationally.
Marina Bragante, currently a councilor, intends to occupy her colleague’s position that will be vacant in the Legislative Assembly. She is the author of an approved project that allows parking spaces to be replaced with mini parks and vegetated areas.
Both were elected by and switched to PSB in the last party window.
