Prague – Thousands of people gathered in Prague on Sunday for a solidarity rally. The demonstrators were protesting against government plans that they fear could make Czech Television (CT) and Radio (CRo) more politically dependent. A few days ago, the government of right-wing populist Prime Minister Andrej Babiš decided to abolish radio and television fees in order to finance the stations directly from the state budget.
