Hell awaits Europe: Meteorological maps warn of extreme heat up to +45 °C

Forecast models for the next few days are causing great concern among meteorologists. Europe is on the threshold of an extremely intense heat wave, which will bring with it literally extreme weather. The latest meteorological maps play with warning colors and indicate thatIn the most affected areas, temperatures can rise to an incredible +45 °C.

Behind this extreme development is a massive and unusually strong heat dome, which stabilizes over the European continent. This atmospheric phenomenon acts as a lid that locks the hot air under it and gradually overheats it even more.

While the southern parts of Europe have to prepare for scorching temperatures attacking the +45 °C border, this heat wave will not bypass central Europe either including Slovakia. The temperature maps clearly show that the above-average warm air will penetrate deep inland. We can therefore expect tropical days with temperatures that will significantly exceed the long-term norms for this period and may even threaten historical temperature records.

In addition to the high temperatures themselves, this situation also brings other risks. Extreme overheating of the atmosphere in combination with humidity creates ideal conditions for the formation of local, but even stronger storms, which can be accompanied by torrential rains or strong winds. Therefore, experts warn the public not to underestimate the drinking regime, to limit exposure to direct sunlight in the midday hours and to closely monitor current meteorological warnings.
