The statements made by the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court) on Monday (22) were criticized by the president of the (Brazilian Bar Association) of Paraná, Luiz Fernando Pereira.
“Minister Gilmar’s interview is very bad for the Judiciary and shows how urgent a code of conduct for the Supreme Court is,” stated Pereira.
At Roda Viva, Gilmar criticized the court’s rapporteur, minister, for having received defense lawyers to discuss the banker’s accusation. Gilmar called the situation a “crass error” and cited it as an example of excess in the investigation of the financial scandal.
Gilmar also criticized the code of conduct for the STF, proposed by the president of the court, Edson Fachin.
